WORK BETTER

Through our connections with the Stanislaus 2030 Initiative, we are leadership partners creating pathways for economic mobility throughout the County.

Education

The Stanislaus Cradle to Career Partnership is grounded in the belief that no single individual, program, organization or institution can single-handedly solve the complex, large-scale, education and workforce readiness challenges facing our community.

Improving outcomes at scale requires innovation and sustained collaboration across organizations and sections to achieve significant and lasting change.

Our partnership with Stanislaus Cradle to Career allows us to create a healthy and thriving community built on educational success, innovation, and community engagement.

The Stanislaus Cradle to Career Partnership is about the power of relationships and how we can leverage these connections to drive a bold agenda.

Stanislaus Cradle to Career Partnership

VISION:

A healthy and thriving community built on educational success and economic well-being for all.

MISSION:

Align sectors and systems in Stanislaus County to ensure successful outcomes for learners from cradle to career.

VALUES:

Data-driven results, systems alignment, compassion, trusted relationships, and long-term commitment.

Since its official launch in Spring 2018, the Cradle to Career Partnership has worked diligently behind the scenes to develop the necessary infrastructure to sustain collective impact efforts over time. They have a diverse leadership body that represents multiple sectors from education, business, government, faith, and community.

They have five Action Teams driving an intentional process to move the needle on critical milestones along the cradle to career spectrum. The partnership began as a unique collaboration between the Stanislaus County Office of Education and the Stanislaus Community Foundation.  They now work with various partner organizations through the community, continuing their collective impact work. They remain in backbone support by the County Office of Education.

The Partnership is an active member of the national StriveTogether Network, connecting Stanislaus County to cradle to career resources and best practices from communities across the country.

The Stanislaus C2C Team believes in building a sturdy foundation today so that they can sustain a long-term movement lifting all Stanislaus County learners to their highest aspirations.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

The Partnership commits to using quality data to drive results. Actions Teams utilize data reports that are vetted by the Cradle to Career Partnership Data Committee to ensure that data is accurate, current, and responsibly shared with the community.

EQUITY

We seek to shift mental models, change power dynamics, establish more equitable policies in our institutions and community, and advance more equitable opportunities across systems. We use qualitative and quantitative data to highlight inequities in achievement.

ONGOING SUPPORT

The backbone team provides facilitation, coaching, and data support for Steering Committee and Action Team meetings. Investing in leadership development helps partners develop authentic ownership of the collective work.

ECONOMY

Financial well-being, income, and employment status affect one’s ability to acquire the essential resources needed for healthy living, and these impact the overall health of a community.

High rates of unemployment are often associated with poor health, risky behaviors, and increased mortality rates.

Access to affordable housing and adequate employment are important to providing the necessary circumstances for residents of Stanislaus County to thrive.

How does the Central Valley attract the right employees and provide good-paying jobs? How do small businesses thrive in the current economic market? How can we use our local resources to innovate and create new market opportunities? These are some of the many issues being examined by the Stanislaus 2030 committee – a diverse group of local leaders who have created a robust economic development plan for Stanislaus County.

Leaders across numerous sectors have strategized pathways for residents to achieve financial mobility by building a local economy that is diverse, inclusive, and sustainable. The results are contained in the Stanislaus 2030 Investment Blueprint.
